To safely operate machinery within the workshop to manufacture and assemble components for concrete mixers, ensuring products meet quality standards and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate workshop machinery (e.g. cutting, drilling, bending, or fabrication equipment) in line with training and safety guidelines
- Manufacture and assemble parts used in concrete mixer production
- Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications
- Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Monitor production quality and report any defects or issues
- Ensure all work is completed to required standards and within set timeframes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment preferred
- Experience operating machinery or willingness to be trained
- Ability to read technical drawings (desirable)
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Basic mechanical or engineering knowledge (advantageous)
Qualifications
- GCSEs or equivalent (including Maths and English) desirable
- Relevant vocational or technical qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
