Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team.
The ideal candidate will be required to fit aluminium and steel tipper and rigid bodies to chassis and trailers using appropriate MIG, TIG welding and fabrication techniques to a satisfactory standard, following all relevant engineering documents, drawings and customer specifications and meet defined production targets.
Check drawings, measurements, and customer specification prior to fitting.
Implement Health and Safety policies.
Manufacture and assemble quality parts from jigs and fixtures.
Fabricate products in accordance with engineering drawings and standards.
Fit appropriate sheeting system in accordance with customers' requirements.
Support the quality system with timely reporting of fabrication issues by using the relevant non-conformance reporting system and by ensuring that job route cards are completed for every job.
Focus on time and productivity targets.
Ensure that all electrical appliances, including welding equipment, are turned off at the end of each day and that the bay is left in a clean and safe condition.
Always maintain a professional and responsible attitude.
Report equipment defects for maintenance.
Actively participate in the reduction of waste, and in the management of waste through separation of waste products.
Manage, care and use your own personal protective equipment.
