Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Body Builder to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and build aluminium and steel tipper trailer and rigid bodies, using MIG and TIG welding techniques to a satisfactory standard, following engineering documents and drawings to meet production targets.
- Check drawings, measurements and kit list prior to production.
- Implement Health and Safety policies.
- Manufacture and assemble quality parts from jigs and fixtures.
- Fabricate products in accordance with Engineering drawings and standards.
- Support the quality system with respect to timely reporting of fabrication issues using the Non-Conformance reporting system and ensure that job route cards are completed for every job.
- Focus on time and productivity targets.
- Ensure that all electrical appliances, including welding equipment, are turned off at the end of each day and that the bay is left in a clean and safe condition.
- Maintain a professional and responsible attitude.
- Report equipment defects for maintenance.
- Actively participate in the reduction of waste and in the management of waste through separation of waste products.
- Management, care and use of personal protective equipment.
