Job Summary: Kick-start your career with Pulse Hire Ltd as an Apprentice Hire Desk Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hire desk environment while completing a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, developing valuable skills with clear progression opportunities into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers via phone and email.
- Work closely with the Sales team to ensure customer orders are processed correctly.
- Communicate order updates, issues, and developments to the wider team.
- Communicate with suppliers when placing orders.
- Support the purchasing and sourcing of hire equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks accurately, including:
- Raising, chasing, and closing breakdowns.
- Processing off-hires.
- Raising and managing damages.
You will gain hands-on experience while being supported by experienced colleagues.
Training & Development:
You will complete a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship, delivered by Total Training Provision Limited. Your training will include:
- At least 20% off-the-job training during working hours.
- Online learning and self-study modules.
- One-to-one support from a dedicated Skills Coach.
- Projects and practical activities.
- Regular progress reviews.
- Structured training in customer experience, communication, teamwork, and handling challenges.
- Support to achieve English and maths qualifications if required.
The apprenticeship is completed through a final assessment, including a practical observation and professional discussion.
