Join Granada Glazing as a Purchasing Officer Apprentice and gain hands-on experience supporting procurement, suppliers and stock control within a busy manufacturing business. You’ll develop key purchasing and administrative skills while completing a Level 3 apprenticeship with structured training and progression opportunities.
What Will the Apprentice Do at Work?
- Assist with the preparation and processing of purchase orders.
- Support supplier communication, including obtaining quotes and handling enquiries.
- Assist with sourcing suppliers under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager.
- Monitor inventory levels and track orders to support stock availability.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding deliveries and resolve order issues.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, including orders, pricing, invoices and delivery information.
- Support inventory reconciliation and stock level checks.
- Assist with cost analysis and review supplier performance.
- Prepare reports and ensure weekly purchasing reports are kept up to date.
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing team.
- Support audits and ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies.
- Take part in apprenticeship training, reviews and development activities.
Training Schedule
Training will take place in the workplace alongside the job role, supported by remote learning. The apprentice will complete online learning, one-to-one sessions and projects, with structured monthly progress reviews throughout the apprenticeship.
Additional Training Information
The apprenticeship is delivered by Total Training Provision using a blended learning approach. Training includes e-learning, one-to-one sessions with a Skills Coach, employer-led learning, projects, activities and regular reviews to support successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Employment Details
- Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm.
- Hours per week: 42.5.
- Wage: Competitive, up to £17,000 per annum.
