Join Granada Glazing as a Manufacturing Operative Apprentice and gain hands-on experience within a busy production environment. You’ll support manufacturing processes, quality checks and daily operations while developing practical skills and completing an apprenticeship with structured training and progression opportunities.
Wage: Competitive, up to £17,000 per annum
Apprenticeship programme delivered by: Total Training Provision
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, 42.5 hours per week
Duration: 12 months
The Role:
As an apprentice, you will work within the production team and gain hands-on experience while learning from experienced colleagues.
What You’ll Do:
- Support day-to-day manufacturing and production activities
- Assist with the assembly and preparation of glazing products
- Operate basic machinery and tools under supervision
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Follow production schedules and work instructions
- Support stock movement and handling of materials
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Work as part of the production team to meet daily targets
- Report any faults, defects or issues to supervisors
- Take part in apprenticeship training, reviews and development activities
Training:
Training will take place in the workplace alongside the job role, supported by off-the-job learning. This includes structured learning activities, one-to-one support and regular monthly progress reviews. The apprenticeship is delivered by Total Training Provision using a blended learning approach, combining on-the-job learning, practical activities and regular assessments.
Entry Requirements:
- Willingness to commit to and complete the apprenticeship
- Reliable, punctual and keen to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Able to work as part of a team
- Desirable (but not essential): GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Interest in manufacturing or hands-on work
