Shining Stars Nursery are currently recruiting for 3 apprenticeship opportunities: 2 x Level 3 Apprentice roles and 1 x Level 5 Apprentice role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming childcare setting, supporting children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) while working as part of a friendly and supportive team.

What You’ll Do

  • Providing high‑quality care and education in line with EYFS
  • Supporting children’s emotional, social, physical and educational development
  • Planning and taking part in age‑appropriate, play‑based learning activities
  • Creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children
  • Observing, assessing and recording children’s progress (with support where required)
  • Building positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Following safeguarding, health & safety procedures at all times
  • Supporting daily routines including meals, toileting and rest times
  • Working effectively as part of a supportive team

Training

Training will take place within the workplace at Shining Stars Nursery or remotely through online learning and virtual sessions with a dedicated Skills Coach. Training will be delivered regularly throughout the apprenticeship, alongside normal working hours. The apprenticeship will be delivered by Total Training Provision, offering structured support throughout the programme. Training will include on‑job learning, remote sessions, online modules, regular reviews and assessment activities to support development and successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Hours & Pay

30–40 hours per week National Minimum Wage Start Date: ASAP

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a nursery setting is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Passing a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
