Join Little Roo’s Private Nursery as a Level 3 Business Admin Apprentice and gain valuable experience in finance, funding and office administration. You’ll support audits, reporting, record keeping and the wider team, developing skills for a long-term career in business and finance within a supportive environment.

Wage: £11,778 per year. Paid in line with the National Apprenticeship Minimum Wage. Pay may be negotiated and may increase following successful completion of a probation period.

Working Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (shift pattern to be confirmed).

Start Date: Monday 16 February 2026.

Duration: 18 months.

The Role: As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with finances and funding, including financial administration.
  • Assisting with auditing and reports.
  • Supporting general administrative tasks, including record keeping and data entry.
  • Ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
  • Supporting the wider team with day-to-day administrative operations.

Location: McLintocks, Summer Lane, Barnsley, S70 2NZ

Training: You will complete a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship, delivered by Total Training Provision. Training will take place in the workplace alongside your job role, with:

  • Regular support from a dedicated Skills Coach.
  • Online learning and self-study.
  • One-to-one sessions, projects and activities.
  • Monthly progress reviews.
  • At least 20% of working hours will be spent on off-the-job training.

Requirements:

Skills: Communication skills, IT skills, attention to detail, organisation skills, problem-solving skills, administrative skills, number skills, analytical and logical thinking.

Other Requirements: Two satisfactory references, Enhanced DBS check.
