The role of the Skills Coach is to teach, coach and support the development and progression of our learners on apprenticeship programmes. You will deliver quality teaching and learning using a blended approach, conduct regular visits, and apply lean, Six Sigma, project and change management principles to support apprentices in achieving their milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and facilitate teaching and learning following the agreed learning journey and pathway.
  • Support and deliver English, Maths and ICT functional skills at level 2 throughout the learner's journey.
  • Complete required visits and reviews to satisfy quality and funding requirements.
  • Engage learners' line managers to provide required support.
  • Coach learners through evidence collection for progression and EPA or framework completion.
  • Monitor learners' welfare and take action to prevent early leavers.
  • Carry out enrichment activities around safeguarding and British values.
  • Manage administration duties within deadlines.
  • Maintain subject knowledge through CPD and standardisation events.
  • Research industry developments and trends.
  • Evaluate and modify training delivery based on feedback and audits.
  • Monitor health and safety and learner accidents.
  • Provide effective IAG service to internal and external clients.
  • Promote Total-TP at all relevant external engagements.
  • Any other duties as requested by management.

Essential Criteria:

  • Level 5 Relevant Occupational Qualification or equivalent in your sector.
  • D32/33/TAQA Level 3 Assessors Award or equivalent.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering apprenticeship training and support in a work-based environment.
  • Proven experience assessing learners on apprenticeship frameworks, standards, and EPA requirements.
  • Knowledge of Government-funded training.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written.
  • Excellent IT knowledge & skills, including electronic portfolio systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a remote team.
  • Ability to motivate and support learners.

Desirable To Be Undertaken As Part Of Role:

  • Teacher, training qualifications PTLLS CTLLS DTLLS.
  • D34 or V1 Award.

  • Work flexible hours and locations (within reason).
  • Full driving licence and car.
