About the Role
The Associate Skills Coach will deliver high-quality Customer Service provision across South Yorkshire as part of short-term Adult Skills delivery. Delivery will take place in community-based venues, supporting adult learners (19+) to develop skills, confidence, and employability. This is a course-based associate role, with potential for further delivery opportunities. The role aligns with Total Training Provision’s Adult & Community Learning model, supporting learners with diverse needs and barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Learning
- Deliver structured, engaging Customer Service sessions.
- Plan and adapt delivery to meet learner needs.
- Create an inclusive and motivating learning environment.
- Assessment & Progress
- Track learner progress and outcomes across the programme.
- Complete relevant assessment or progress documentation.
- Ensure learners achieve outcomes within programme timelines.
- Learner Support
- Support learners with barriers (confidence, unemployment, prior education experiences).
- Promote positive behaviours, attendance, and progression.
- Provide basic IAG to support next steps.
- Quality & Compliance
- Maintain accurate learner records and registers.
- Follow safeguarding and Prevent procedures.
- Deliver in line with funding and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Essential
- Experience delivering adult or community-based learning.
- Experience in Customer Service or employability training.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to deliver across multiple venues (if required).
- Commitment to inclusion and learner support.
- Desirable
- Teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS or equivalent).
- Assessing qualification (TAQA or equivalent).
- Experience with Adult Skills Fund or similar provision.
