Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Full time: Mon to Fri, 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm alternates weekly (40hrs pw)

Duration: Initially for 6 months, may become permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cylinder Operative to work with one of our prestigious clients based in Crawley. You will be working within a highly trained team responsible for the identification, inspection, and safe movement of acetylene gas cylinders.

This is physical work, all applicants must pass a drug/alcohol test and not be colour blind.

The Role:

  • As a member of the production team, you will be working in the manufacturing facility that produces high quality gas cylinders for customers in various industries including food preparation, pharmaceuticals, and universities.
  • This is a hands-on position with considerable physical elements such as handling cylinders, operating process equipment, analysers, and using scanners/computers.
  • You will be a highly enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn all operations and takes pride in their work.
  • You should be able to use Microsoft Excel, Office 365 or equivalent.
  • You will be required to follow Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards diligently.
  • Adherence to strict Health and Safety rules and regulations ensuring the workplace is orderly and complies with all safety requirements.
  • There are development opportunities across the site, including laboratory analysis work and logistics.

Requirements:

  • You are energetic, self-motivated, and disciplined.
  • GCSE / NVQ (or Equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Driving experience is preferred as training will be provided for driving a Forklift Truck.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or scientific environment is preferable.
  • Your approach is systematic and logical.
  • As a team player, you possess great communication skills and a good command of English.
  • You are able to work to a time-based plan.

Desirable:

  • Live in close proximity to Crawley site due to early starts.
