Total Staff are recruiting on behalf of a reputable student accommodation provider for a Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of their pre-planned summer turnaround project across three Oxford properties. This 6-month fixed-term contract is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience in student accommodation, summer turnarounds, compliance, and managing on-site facilities teams. The groundwork is already in place - you'll be coming in to lead, oversee, and deliver on well-prepared objectives with the support of an established team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and support a Facilities Team Leader and on-site facilities team across 3 buildings
- Deliver the summer turnaround project in line with existing plans, timelines, and compliance frameworks
- Ensure adherence to PPMs, RAMS, and all relevant compliance/audit standards
- Coordinate day-to-day facilities operations and manage external contractors
- Be the go-to person for technical audits, compliance checks, and operational delivery
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and statutory compliance
- Minimal weekend work - possible Duty Manager cover once every 4-5 weeks
- Background in student accommodation, hospitality, or multi-site facilities management
- Confident delivering large-scale turnaround/transition projects
- Strong working knowledge of compliance, audits, and contractor management
- Not required to be 'on the tools' but must understand the full technical scope
- A proactive leader who can motivate a team and keep things on track
- Fixed-term contract from ASAP until October 2025
- Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours/week
- Weekend work minimal - 1 to 3 weekend days over the course of the contract (duty manager cover only)
