About the role
Total Sports Limited is looking for enthusiastic and caring Early Years Group Leaders to join our holiday clubs. You will work with our youngest children, delivering fun, safe and engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This role is ideal for qualified or trainee Early Years professionals who enjoy active, play-based learning in a holiday club environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the EYFS framework within a holiday club setting
- Set up and maintain a safe, welcoming and organised Early Years base room
- Follow activity timetables to ensure a varied and engaging programme
- Lead and support activity sessions with energy and structure
- Act as Key Worker, sharing relevant information with parents and colleagues
- Provide active supervision throughout the day, including breaks and lunch times
- Encourage participation while following OFSTED guidance
- Safeguard the welfare of all children in your care
- Ensure equipment is used and stored safely
- Support children’s development through structured play and Explore & Play sessions
What we’re looking for
- Working towards or holding a relevant childcare qualification
- Experience and knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Aged 18 or over by the start of employment
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to provide satisfactory references
- Enthusiastic, caring and organised with strong communication skills
- Confident adapting to a fast-paced childcare environment
- Willingness to complete required training and induction
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Additional information
- Staff may be required to support swimming sessions (swimwear required)
- Reasonable adjustments will be made for children with additional needs
- Duties may vary to meet business needs
