Job Summary:
Lead Primary PE & Sports Coach (30hrs, Mon–Thurs) delivering PE across York & Harrogate primary schools in a varied, active lead coaching role. 30 guaranteed hours, great team, real responsibility and progression. This is an active, varied and trusted role for a confident coach who enjoys different schools, different children and making an immediate impact wherever they go.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging PE lessons across a range of primary schools
- Quickly build rapport with new classes and staff
- Teach games, sports skills and fundamental movement
- Run enrichment days, festivals and themed activity sessions
- Lead or support in our holiday clubs, over Easter and Summer
- Mentor and support other coaches
- Deliver staff training for our holiday clubs alongside our other full-time team
- Help maintain high standards of energy, safety and professionalism across the team
About the role:
- Deliver engaging PE lessons across multiple primary schools
- Travel between schools to provide specialist PE support (must drive)
- Step confidently into new settings and build rapport quickly
- Teach sports skills, games and fundamental movement
- Run fun enrichment days, festivals and themed activities
- Lead or support holiday clubs during school holidays
- Mentor newer coaches and share ideas
- Deliver short staff training sessions
- Help maintain energy, quality and consistency across our programmes

Essential:
- Strong PE teaching or sports coaching experience
- Confident leading classes independently
- Excellent behaviour management

- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel between schools required)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Level 2+ coaching qualification or relevant degree preferred.
