Total Spectrum are currently recruiting for a Senior Warehouse Operative, for one of our clients based in the Hemel Hampstead area, on a Permanent basis.
The role also includes occasional driving duties, which may involve driving XLWB vehicles into Central London, so please only apply if you are comfortable with this requirement.
Genuine opportunity to start before Christmas, however can accommodate January starts.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Act as a point of escalation for operational issues and resolve promptly.
- Support and mentor warehouse staff, promoting best practices.
- Monitor stock accuracy and assist with inventory control.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Liaise with the Warehouse Manager on process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
- Operate forklift (if licensed) and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring accuracy against pick notes and delivery documentation.
- Pick and prepare orders for Trade Counter/Click and collect customers with precision.
- Report and rectify any warehouse abnormalities promptly.
- Drive XLWB company vehicles for deliveries or collections as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, with some supervisory or senior responsibilities.
- Computer literate with good written and spoken English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Full UK driving license (must be over 25 for insurance purposes, maximum 6 points).
- Ability to drive XLWB vehicles confidently.
- Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
Salary, Hours & Benefits
- Salary: Up to £32k DOE, paid weekly.
- Holidays: 33 days including Bank Holidays.
- Workwear provided.
- Statutory Sick Pay.
- Working hours: Mon–Fri 10:00–19:00, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays (08:00–11:00, paid at time and a half).
