Total Spectrum are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative, for one of our clients based in the Hemel Hampstead area, on a Permanent basis. The successful candidate may be required to drive XLWB vehicles, including into Central London, so please only apply if you are comfortable with this. Genuine opportunity to start before Christmas, however can accommodate January starts.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift (if licensed).
- Load vans accurately, ensuring items match pick notes and loading order is correct.
- Pick and prepare orders for Trade Counter customers with precision.
- Unload supplier deliveries and verify quantities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
- Ensure products are stored in correct locations and rectify any discrepancies.
- Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Report and help resolve any warehouse abnormalities promptly.
- Support additional tasks to ensure smooth and efficient company operation.
- Drive XLWB company vehicles as required for deliveries or collections.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
- Computer literate with good written and spoken English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Full UK driving license (must be over 25 for insurance purposes, maximum 6 points).
- Ability to drive XLWB vehicles confidently.
- Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
Salary, Hours & Benefits
- Salary: £28K per annum, paid weekly.
- Holidays: 33 days including Bank Holidays.
- Workwear provided.
- Statutory Sick Pay.
- Working hours: Mon–Fri 10:00–19:00, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays (08:00–11:00, paid at time and a half).
