Total Social is working with Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, which is looking for an experienced locum Children\’s Social Worker for their safeguarding locality team.
As a Social Worker, you will have a varied caseload that offers opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge, making each day fulfilling and rewarding.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake appropriate assessments of need in line with national guidance, legislation, Social Work England codes of practice, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement plans to meet the assessed needs of children, acting as the allocated worker.
- Work in partnership with children, families, and carers during assessment, planning, and review processes.
- Collaborate with other departments within the local authority, as well as statutory, voluntary, and independent agencies.
- Maintain professional standards and practice, taking responsibility for practice and decision-making appropriate to your experience, knowledge, and grade.
- Recognize safeguarding situations and report them through agreed processes to enable appropriate action.
