The person
- Must have 5+ years operating at a Production Manager level, within a Food Manufacturing business – those without cannot be considered.
- Inspirational leadership experience (with examples!) – There is a good team that need to be lead from the front, and they will be instrumental in the success of this role.
- Shop-floor presence. This role is going to be hands-on, getting involved with the shift managers, coaching, developing, transforming.
- A “do-er”, someone who can deliver change quickly, and be decisive. Knowing the theory is only part of the challenge, the rest is making it work in practice!
The Role
- Manage all shift personnel and ensure that they carry out their responsibilities in line with Newly Weds Foods health and safety and hygiene standards.
- Responsible for ensuring that all Blend Staff are adequately trained on plant, machinery, systems, procedures, personnel and health and safety practices ensuring records are maintained.
- Manage and resolve any technical or quality issues in a timely manner, working across departments to identify root cause and effective corrective actions.
- Ensure all manufacturing documentation is completed in an orderly, professional, timely manner.
- To assume overall responsibility for Plant in the absence of the Plant Manager.
