As a Junior Decommissioning & Dismantling Engineer you will play a vital role in the Decommissioning and Dismantling (D&D) discipline. Your responsibilities will include engaging in core D&D engineering tasks, which encompass decommissioning planning, design, waste handling studies, dismantling, demolition, and delicensing activities.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to various stages of decommissioning projects, including feasibility studies, preliminary design, detail design, and construction/commissioning.
The D&D team welcomes candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences, applying transferable skills relevant to nuclear decommissioning projects.
- Degree (BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng) in nuclear engineering, decommissioning, waste management, or an engineering field with a nuclear specialization.
- Relevant experience in nuclear decommissioning or waste management projects, nuclear operations, or translatable experience from highly regulated industries.
- Willingness to obtain security clearance.
- 3+ years of professional engineering or technical specialist experience is preferred.
