We are seeking a dedicated Cask Handler to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of the casks, ensuring that all operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
- Engage in materials handling tasks, including sorting, stacking, and storing products in designated areas.
- Maintain an organised and clean work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing casks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems will be considered a plus.
- Ability to perform moving and handling techniques as required by the role, with a focus on safety.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining inventory accuracy.
- A proactive attitude towards teamwork and communication is necessary for success in this position.
Please note this role is a temporary week to week contract.
Dayshift £13.43 per hour, Early shift £15.62 per hour, Backshift £18.83 per hour. You will commence on the day shift until your training is complete, you will then move onto rotating shifts which can cover all patterns.
