HGV Fitter

Total require a skilled and reliable Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various mechanical components, with a focus on ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and vehicles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial driving, delivery, and flatbed operations to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and assemble mechanical components using appropriate tools and techniques
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and vehicles
• Perform inspections to identify potential issues and carry out necessary repairs or report them for further action
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and vehicle logs
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in fitting or mechanical maintenance roles
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
