Are you an experienced senior residential care worker seeking a new challenge and career progression? We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our team in our 3 bedded residential children's home. We are is a small provider of residential children's homes located in Northampton. We are looking to appoint a Deputy Manager to join our team in our small 3 bedded home. Reporting directly to the home's registered manager the ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and have prior experience working in accordance with therapeutic models of care within residential children's homes. All staff are responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children we care for. The Deputy Manager will be expected to support the regstered manager in all aspects relating to the effective running of the home in line with the home's policies and procedures. They will confidently lead a team of senior residential care workers, shift leaders and residential care workers to ensure that the children's individual care plan's and risk assessments are adhered to at all times whilst ensuring that a positive welcoming, safe environment is maintained at all times, giving the young peopel the best opportunities to achieve positive outcomes. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, be patient and understanding, and have a genuine interest in helping children reach their full potential. Due to the nature of the role a full driving licence is required Responsibilities: * Supervise children in a safe and nurturing environment. * Ensure the safeguarding of children and young people is prioitised at all times * Lead and support a team of senior residential care workers, shift leaders and residential care workers. * Provide a stimulating and educational environment for children. * Plan and implement activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional development of children. * Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From £32,000 + Per year (Depending on Experience) Schedule: * Day shift * Overtime * Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: * grantham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: * Certificate of Higher Education (preferred) Experience: * Residential Childcare: 5 years (required) Licence/Certification: * NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred) * Driving Licence (required) Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time Pay: from £32,000 per year Additional pay: * Bonus scheme Benefits: * Company events * Company pension * On-site parking Licence/Certification: * Driving Licence (preferred) * Diploma level 3/4 (required)
