FULL TIME, PERMANENT VACANCY HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER BASED IN STOCKPORT £35000 – 45000 plus benefits package 33 days annual leave and WELL above average company pension scheme 37 hours spread over 4.5 days per week – Monday to Friday with a lunch time finish each Friday. Job Summary: The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for the effectiveness of the organisations Health & Safety system and processes, ensuring that compliance to standards and policies are consistently achieved. The Health and Safety Officer ensures that the manufacturing processes ensure that employees and all other stakeholders are safe at all times. The H&S Officer is responsible for the development of local H&S Policy, training in policy and auditing adherence. Roles & Responsibilities: * Develop Health and Safety Policies and procedures * Carry out risk, fire risk & workplace assessments in all areas * Create method statements * COSHH assessment * Create \’Safe Working\’ procedures * Internal accident and RIDDOR reporting.
