Role Overview
As a Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions within the water industry. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the design, construction, and maintenance of water infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to Business Management Systems (BMS) and COM regulations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 1 to 4 years experience in civil engineering design, preferably within the water or wastewater industry
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
- Strong understanding of water engineering principles, hydraulic systems, and infrastructure design
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, such as COM regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Professional licensure or chartered status is desirable
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development with a willingness to work towards chartership with a relevant professional institution (ICE, CIWEM or IoW)
