Operations Manager - West Region | Total Pest Control (UK) Ltd | Competitive Salary + Management Bonus + Company Vehicle
An operations management role where you can actually make a difference.
If you're already managing teams in pest control, you'll know the frustrations. Decisions that take too long. Good ideas that never get anywhere. Being held responsible for results without having much say in how things are done.
We're offering something a little different.
Total Pest Control is an independent, family-owned business that's grown into a sizeable operation, covering much of England from the Midlands southwards.
We're now restructuring our operations into two regions and looking for someone to take charge of our West region.
This isn't a role where you'll simply inherit a patch, manage a few KPIs and report upwards. You'll work directly with the directors, have the freedom to make decisions and play a genuine part in shaping how the business operates.
The opportunity
You’ll take responsibility for a region of approximately 15 pest control technicians, supported by three team leaders.
Your job will be to make sure the region runs properly. That means supporting your team leaders, developing your people, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring we're delivering the standards our customers expect.
You’ll have responsibility for:
- Leading and developing three team leaders and their technicians.
- Overseeing regional service delivery, performance and overdue visits.
- Building relationships with customers and handling operational challenges.
- Supporting surveyors, reviewing technical quality and coordinating job work.
- Developing technician competence and maintaining high standards.
But there's more to this role than regional operations.
You'll also take the lead on customer complaints across the entire business, helping us improve how we investigate issues, resolve problems and learn from them.
We're also looking for someone who wants to develop their health and safety expertise. We'll fund your NEBOSH General Certificate, with a planned transfer of responsibility for our health and safety management system and an accompanying salary increase when you complete it.
It's an opportunity to build a role with genuine influence across the company.
Who are we looking for?
Ideally, you're already an Operations Manager, Service Manager, Regional Manager or experienced Team Leader within the pest control industry.
You understand what good service looks like, can earn the respect of technicians and are comfortable dealing directly with customers when things don't go to plan.
We're particularly interested in people who:
- Have experience leading field-based pest control teams.
- Can develop and hold team leaders accountable without micromanaging.
- Are confident handling difficult customer conversations.
- Understand the commercial and operational pressures of running a service team.
- Want to take on more responsibility and help shape a growing business.
You’ll need a minimum of RSPH/BPCA Level 2 in Pest Management and a full UK driving licence.
You don't need to have done everything before. If you're an exceptional Team Leader looking for that next step, we'd be interested in speaking with you too.
What's in it for you?
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
- Management bonus scheme targeting 12% of salary, with up to 20% achievable.
- Additional salary increase on completion of NEBOSH and transfer of health and safety responsibilities.
- Company vehicle, fuel card, laptop and phone.
- 23 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Company pension and death in service benefit.
- Employee wellbeing benefits.
- Fully funded NEBOSH General Certificate and ongoing training budget.
- Direct access to the directors and genuine involvement in business decisions.
Why Total Pest Control?
We're big enough to offer interesting clients, a substantial team and real opportunities to develop.
But we're still small enough that people know each other, decisions get made quickly and good ideas can actually be put into practice.
Our directors are involved in the business every day. You won't be just another management layer in a large corporate structure.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in what they do, cares about their people and wants to help us build an even better pest control business.
Applications close 31 October 2026.
