We are seeking an experienced and motivated Joinery Workshop Manager to lead our production team and ensure the efficient delivery of exceptional joinery products.
The
Role: As Joinery Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all workshop operations, managing production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and leading a skilled team of joiners and machinists.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key
Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day running of the joinery workshop.
Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet project deadlines.
Supervise, motivate, and develop workshop staff.
Ensure all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
Monitor workflow, productivity, and resource allocation.
Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Coordinate with project managers, designers, and site teams.
Manage workshop machinery, maintenance schedules, and tooling requirements.
Control material usage and minimise waste.
Support recruitment, training, and performance management of workshop personnel.
Requirements: Proven experience in a Joinery Workshop Manager, Production Manager, or Senior Bench Joiner leadership role.
Strong knowledge of bespoke joinery manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
Strong organisational and planning abilities.
Experience managing production targets and deadlines.
Computer literacy and familiarity with production management systems would be advantageous.
