About Us

We are a well-established and growing joinery company delivering high-quality bespoke joinery and carpentry solutions across commercial and residential sectors. Due to continued growth and an increasing demand for our site carpentry services, we are seeking an experienced Estimator / Surveyor to join our team. This is a key position within the business, offering the opportunity to help develop and expand our Site Carpentry division while working closely with the directors to drive future growth.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating, surveying and commercial management of joinery and carpentry projects from tender stage through to completion. Key duties will include:

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
  • Preparing accurate estimates and quotations.
  • Carrying out quantity take-offs and site surveys.
  • Procuring materials and subcontractors.
  • Managing project costs, variations and valuations.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and site teams.
  • Assisting with business development opportunities.
  • Supporting the growth of the company's site carpentry offering.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor or Surveyor within the joinery and carpentry sector.
  • Strong understanding of first fix, second fix and finishing carpentry packages.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience working on commercial fit-out, residential or specialist joinery projects.
  • Existing relationships within the construction industry.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
