The Company is expanding its Design Team and is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Fire and Security Designer. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career while providing a premium service to clients. You should be positive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
The role involves:
- Preparation of designs and quotations for Fire and Security systems
- Ensuring designs fully comply with all applicable regulations and standards
- Working to defined quotas, deadlines, and budgets
- Communicate and build successful working relationships with customers and other employees
- Completion of training courses to increase knowledge and performance
- Carry out site surveys for the purpose of creating proposals and quotations
- Attend internal and external design meetings
Key experience / Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related subject
- Relevant Fire Alarm qualification recognised by an industry body, for example the FIA (Fire Industry Association)
- A knowledge of relevant fire and security regulations, standards, and codes of practice
- Experience of designing systems with high levels of integration
- Full driving licence
Skills and Capabilities:
- You will need to be an accomplished designer within the security industry with at least 3 years’ experience
- You will have a good working knowledge of Fire Alarm (BS 5839-1 & 6), and CCTV (BS 50132-7) standards
- Good IT skills and a familiarity with Microsoft software
- Highly literate with a high attention to detail
- You will be a team player with ambition who is willing to learn new technologies and procedures

We will offer the following package:
- Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm (Permanent)
- Salary: £40,000.00 - £50,000.00 dependant on skills, experience, and qualifications
