Due to the Company’s continued success, we are looking to expand the Design Team in the Mansfield area and are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Fire and Security Design Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career and become a valued member of the team. You should be positive and enthusiastic having the ability to provide the client with a premium service and the capability to work independently or within a team when required. The role involves:
- Promote the company’s Premium Service, Core Values, and Culture
- Act as a senior design authority for the department
- Verify and sign-off design team output
- Mentor staff and trainees.
- Strive for continual improvement in the design department.
- Assist with the provision of design and estimating services to all TIS departments and offices
- Preparation of designs, proposals, technical submittals, drawings, and quotations
- Ensure designs fully comply with all applicable regulations, standards, and specifications
- Work to defined deadlines, and budgets
- Carry out site surveys and create reports
- Attend internal and external design meetings
- Completion of training courses to increase knowledge and performance
Key experience / Qualifications:
- An accomplished designer with a proven track record of producing designs and quotations
- At least 5 years’ demonstrable experience working in a fire and security design role
- Knowledge of CDM (2015), PD6662, NCP104, NCP109, BS 8243, BS 60839-11-2, BS 50173-2, Equality Act 2010, Building Regulations, Secure by Design, and relevant Codes of Practice
- Fire Alarm qualification recognised by an industry body, for example the FIA (Fire Industry Association) or FPA (Fire Protection Association)
- Full driving license
- Good IT skills and a familiarity with Microsoft software

We will offer the following package:
- Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm (Permanent)
- Salary: Competitive salary dependant on skills, experience, and qualifications
