The Filipino Community Council of Victoria (FCCVi) is seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful Marketing and Sponsorship Coordinator to develop and deliver marketing, engagement and fundraising activities for FCCVi.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will ensure the continued success of the organisation through increased awareness of FCCVi within the Community and more broadly amongst the public, including strengthening partnerships and fundraising initiatives.
About the role
This is a new role, so you will have prior experience in a similar role, preferably for a charity, not-for-profit or community organisation. You will need to demonstrate that you can operate in a stand-alone capacity and drive marketing and sponsorship activities with innovation and enthusiasm. Most importantly, you will have strong knowledge of the Filipino language and culture.
Key responsibilities
Identify target audiences for key activities and develop a strategy for marketing and promotion of the organisation for approval by the CEO
Plan delivery of the strategy, including clear costs and timelines, with tracking of metrics and stages
Ensure clear understanding of the Filipino Community and identify key groups and messaging as part of Marketing plan
Develop strong story-based narratives that raise awareness and engage with target audience
Identify target individuals and groups for fundraising activity and set financial targets
Develop targeted fundraising materials and activities with engaging and compelling stories
Create value proposition for sponsorship opportunities and develop pitch materials for presentation to sponsors
Seek and pitch partnership opportunities, managing a pipeline of potential sponsors
Develop a timeline and plan for social media, manage social media channels and website content
Plan specific promotional or fundraising events for the organisation and manage delivery of marketing based events
About you
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business Development or a related discipline required
Demonstrated understanding of Filipino culture and community is essential
Experience in a marketing, community engagement or promotion role for a minimum of 2-3 years
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop copy and promotional material
Strong stakeholder engagement and sales skills, preferably working with donors and sponsors
Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing tools and systems, including major social media platforms, content production, email marketing and web content
Knowledge of video/audio content production and editing
Good organisational and project management skills
Well-developed computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, CRMs or similar
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and elevate matters appropriately
The salary of this role is in line with the SHADS Award, Community Services Employee Level 3.
