We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Electrical Engineer to join our client's team across various sites in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical professional looking for ongoing contract work within commercial, industrial, and building services environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, testing, inspections, and installation works while ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on a range of systems and equipment.
- Perform testing, inspections, and commissioning works where required.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety legislation.
- Complete job reports and maintenance records accurately.
- Liaise effectively with site teams, contractors, and clients.
- Support ongoing projects and electrical upgrades as required.
Requirements
- Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification or recognised electrical apprenticeship.
- Previous experience in a commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or building services environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of current electrical regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
Desirable Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
- ECS or CSCS card.
- Full UK Driving Licence
