Location: 78 Cannon Street, London

Hours: 10:00-19:00, 40 hours per week

Reports To: Contract Manager / Site Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to deliver high-quality building services maintenance across a busy commercial site. You will work as part of an on-site engineering team, ensuring systems are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance, and minor installations.
  • Complete routine inspections, fault finding, and repair tasks.
  • Maintain electrical and mechanical building services to high standards.
  • Issue site permits and follow all Health & Safety and environmental protocols.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate logbook updates and maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Provide support to wider site teams when required.
  • Participate in call-out rota when needed.

About You

  • Strong background in commercial or residential building maintenance.
  • Good organisational, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Confident working independently or as part of a wider engineering team.
  • Capable of managing conflict and supporting customer-facing environments.
  • Flexible approach to working hours when operational needs require it.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • GCSEs or equivalent.
  • NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in a relevant maintenance/engineering discipline.
  • Formal electrical, mechanical, or building services qualification.
  • L8 Water Treatment (training can be provided if not already held).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Desirable:

  • Experience using Concept Evolution / FSI Go.
  • IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic financial understanding (credits, accruals, pro-rata).
