We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to deliver high-quality building services maintenance across a busy commercial site. You will work as part of an on-site engineering team, ensuring systems are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance, and minor installations.
- Complete routine inspections, fault finding, and repair tasks.
- Maintain electrical and mechanical building services to high standards.
- Issue site permits and follow all Health & Safety and environmental protocols.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate logbook updates and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Provide support to wider site teams when required.
- Participate in call-out rota when needed.
About You
- Strong background in commercial or residential building maintenance.
- Good organisational, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Confident working independently or as part of a wider engineering team.
- Capable of managing conflict and supporting customer-facing environments.
- Flexible approach to working hours when operational needs require it.
Qualifications
Essential:
- GCSEs or equivalent.
- NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in a relevant maintenance/engineering discipline.
- Formal electrical, mechanical, or building services qualification.
- L8 Water Treatment (training can be provided if not already held).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Desirable:
- Experience using Concept Evolution / FSI Go.
- IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic financial understanding (credits, accruals, pro-rata).
