Job Description
Assistant Site Manager (Civils) - Cambridge
We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager with a strong Civil Engineering background to support the delivery of a new EV Charging Hub project in Cambridge.
Working alongside the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and supervision of subcontractors and site operatives.
- Monitor health & safety compliance and promote best practice on site.
- Support the delivery of civils works including groundworks, drainage, ducting, utilities, and associated infrastructure.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.
- Ensure project programmes are maintained and report on progress.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders as required.
- Maintain site records and documentation.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on civils, infrastructure, or groundworks projects.
- Experience delivering EV charging, utilities, highways, or similar infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Valid SMSTS
- Valid CSCS Card
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
