The Reporting & Systems Analyst is responsible for overall Management Information reporting, key reports to inform colleagues and stakeholders of activities within their business and portfolios, to make meaningful and cost-effective decisions. This role involves using wider IT skills to build, maintain and improve these reports, extracting data from TEM UK company systems.
Working as part of the wider Back Office team, the analyst assists colleagues to simplify data entry into the SAP system, ensuring rebate agreements are correctly set up and administered to satisfy customer needs and expectations, while ensuring the amounts paid out as a rebate are correct and in line with TEM legal agreements.
Activities
- Maintain, build and develop reporting solutions to allow the business to achieve efficiencies.
- Promote and provide a high level and quality reporting service.
- Ensure that all MI reports are produced and delivered to stakeholders accurately and on time.
- Work to ensure reporting remains stable and any issues are investigated and resolved.
- Provide technical support to the stakeholders on their reporting questions/issues.
- Analyse and work with the business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and prioritise accordingly.
- Manage ongoing maintenance of existing reporting, as well as the provision of new reports.
- Work closely with colleagues to improve working procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver enhancements/bug fixes to existing reporting.
- Design and develop new solutions for new reporting.
- Understand business problems/goals and design and implement appropriate models.
- Independently design and/or code and lead others in the development of cost-effective application and program solutions.
- Lead or act as a technical contributor in the design of new applications or enhancements including integration of purchased solutions.
- Communicate well to ensure stakeholders are fully informed and aware of progress, as well as being able to provide advice on best practice.
- Ensure good standards, working practices and governance is in place to provide a consistent approach to reporting delivery going forward.
- Work with the wider Lubricants teams to manage and action any ad hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand root causes of issues and help to design and implement robust solutions.
The Reporting & Systems Analyst jointly manages the Lubes rebates process, to ensure that correct values are accrued and paid out in accordance with legal contracts, and to release over accrued funds back into the TEM UK result at the end of the rebate period.
Local rebate activities include:
- Creating rebates in SAP, to match the requirements defined in the legal contracts.
- Releasing accrued rebates to customers, at the times specified in the legal contracts.
- Liaising with the Finance team to make refunds where needed and agreed.
- Closing down rebates at the end of the rebate period, and releasing over accrued funds, or unpaid monies, back into the TEM UK result.
- Investigating and correcting any discrepancies between the accrued values and amount to be paid out as a rebate.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience, including complex formulae and VBA.
- Power BI.

- Experience with large scale data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience in application program development.
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
