TCSUK is a growing entity after the acquisition by TotalEnergies: the network is growing and the team to deliver that network growth is also growing (x2 over the last 2 years). It is expected that the network will expand outside the M25 and that the number of contractors to deliver the service will also grow. Due to the focus on HSSE in TE, a step change was initiated. More controls and management of safety is required as the company is changing at a fast pace to ensure all know the safe ways and are respecting the safe rules, both internally and externally.
The incumbent will be expected to:
- Ensure all the internal and external TCSUK processes are delivered safely.
- Work with all TCSUK to win hearts and minds to ensure everyone works towards a safe and productive environment.
- Ensure the continued development and improvement of Health, Safety, Security, Environmental & the Quality behaviours and delivery in line with the TCSUK strategy.
- Deliver a pan business team alignment whilst securing a consistent approach with TEMUK business and compliance with legislation and group requirements.
- Area of responsibility is 40+ TCSUK people safety in their day to day.
- The role encompasses working on site with our contractors and our team.
Activities:
- Ensure all TCSUK team members understand their duties stemming from HSE regulations and TotalEnergies rules, with a focus point on team leads and contractors.
- Manage the HSE management system transition to TotalEnergies standards and produce all analyses and documents.
- Develop and manage HSE systems to ensure continued certification to relevant standards including 45001, 14001, 9001 and any other business-relevant standards or certifications.
- Oversee HSE-related audits (Company and external).
- Organize yearly UK internal audit planner.
- Actively promote an HSEQ culture within the team.
- Review, maintain, and develop existing documentation and create new appropriate documents to address the gaps identified with TotalEnergies Standards or new pieces of regulation impacting the business.
- Lead incident investigations and deliver recommendations that are rolled out to the people at risk.
- Extract and share learning for the full organisation.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and coordinate and manage effective drills against identified scenarios.
- Ensure all teams contribute to site audit/visits.
- Encourage the team to report and analyse near misses.
- Deliver the monthly safety committee and monthly reporting of global KPIs.
- TCSUK focal point for the delivery of TCSUK Safety day.
- Manage relevant budgets assigned to the positions and ensure continual review of effective and efficient budget control, with a focus on driving down departmental and business costs.
- Participate in industry bodies to develop best practice guidance and introduce these into the business of Total Energies and provide value-added support to all of our customers as and when appropriate.
Contractors:
- Assist Procurement with the evaluation and selection of suppliers.
- Identify risks and weaknesses in the selected supplier panel and work a plan of improvement.
- Perform field visits/audits to ensure appropriation and toll out of HSE rules by contractors.
- Take part in business reviews with Suppliers and feedback on HSE performance.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor Degree.
- 2 years experience deploying Safety role with front end workers.
- Membership of IOSH - Tech level and passed NEBOSH general Certificate.
- Office suite: proficient.
- Communicate confidently and articulate action plans clearly.
