Job Description
Due to the nature of production and the age of the Ferrybridge plant it is essential that all aspects of Engineering / Maintenance are controlled limiting plant down time. Also making sure the plant moves forward and is sustainable for the future, enabling production output to be easily increased without the need for extra plant and equipment, safe in the knowledge that the existing is capable to manage the extra demands without effecting the safety standards in place .
Activities
- Follow guidance and on the job training from other members of the Maintenance Team.
- Manage CMMS system and ensure minimal production down time.
- Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and embrace team working with other skillsets.
- Ensure any Insurance remedial electrical work is carried out in a timely manner.
- Assist with close-out of process safety actions.
- Assist with planning and management of CAPEX Projects, including supervision of contractors.
- Perform mechanical and basic electrical isolation on equipment to enable a safe system of work.
- Installation and commissioning of new electrical, instrumentation and automated plant equipment.
- Manage flowmeter and scale calibrations to ensure quality compliance.
- Participate in the formation of risk assessments, method statements and safe working procedures.
- Perform repairs to faulty of damaged plant equipment and diagnose issues with automation equipment.
- Control stock levels of electrical and automation spares in stores.
- Investigate and provide resolution to plant issues, in the most appropriate, cost effective and efficient manner.
- Ensure upkeep of all on site FLTs and hand pallet trucks and assist with Maintenance FLT driving (Once Approved)
- Participate in the continuation of 5s and LEAN implementation on site.
- Installation and commissioning of new plant equipment including PLC and control automation systems.
- Participate in training to ensure a good level of PLC and SCADA knowledge within industrial environments.
Candidate Profile
- Level 3 qualification or working towards in Electrical Engineering.and 18 th edition wiring regs.
- IOSH Qualification.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and outside the company.
- Be self-motivated and work without supervision.
- Flexible approach to problem solving and working arrangements.
- Punctual and reliable.
- High level of Computer literacy with MS Office etc.
