We are recruiting a Land Surveyor/Setting Out Engineer experienced in large earthworks projects. With at least four years of land surveying experience, you’ll be required to:
- Complete topographical surveys and volumetrics with setting up machine control.
- Set out earthworks with optical and GPS equipment (Trimble).
- Set up and manage machine control (Topcon).
- Prepare and maintain work record and data sheets and ensure work is carried out in accordance with contract requirements.
- Maintain contract management quality records as directed by Senior Engineers/Site Agents.
- Produce As-Built Drawings in accordance with Client requirements.
- Carry out site surveys for weekly/monthly measurement purposes.
- Submit processed information to Company Quantity Surveyors and Site Agents.
- Manage the control of site activities, as directed by Senior Engineers/Site Agents.
- Ensure compliance with individual responsibilities regarding safety, health, and environmental issues, as set out in the Group Safety, Health and Environmental Policy.
- Complete daily site diary.
- Project a professional image.
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and maintain client relations.
Skills/Experience : The following qualifications/competencies are required:
- Valid CSCS card.
- Used to working with LSS or similar software.
- Experienced in a variety of Civil Engineering disciplines.
- Oral/written communication.
- Flexibility.
- Organised.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Computer literate.
You’ll need experience of working in any capacity on civil engineering projects, including Earthworks. You will preferably hold or be working towards a qualification in Civil Engineering.
