Job Description

About Me

About The Person You’ll Support

You’ll be supporting a 42‑year‑old man living with a C5 complete spinal cord injury following a car accident. He lives with his partner and his rescue dog, Marty, and enjoys socialising, pub quizzes, and staying connected with family and friends.
Before his injury, he lived an active life — football, running, cycling, and evenings at the gym. While life has changed, his independence, dignity, and comfort remain central to who he is.
He experiences:
  • Reduced sensation in limbs
  • Unpredictable muscle spasms
  • Limited balance and risk of falling forward
This means attentive, safe, and confident support during transfers is essential.

Qualifications

What He’s Looking For

You’ll be a great fit if you are:
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Calm, confident, and professional
  • Clear in communication
  • Patient, respectful, and discreet
You’ll support him by:
  • Handling transfers with vigilance and care
  • Maintaining accurate, factual records
  • Adapting to changing needs
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and choice
Your confidence and competence will help reduce his anxiety when working with new staff, helping him feel safe, respected, and in control.

Additional Information

Here’s what makes us different:

  • Free DBS check – we cover the full cost of the DBS application
  • Full training & paid induction - no experience needed
  • Career growth - clear progression into senior & leadership roles
  • Family-friendly - enhanced leave for life’s big moments
