The Opportunity: A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Omagh. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of a diverse portfolio of projects across renewable energy, heavy civil engineering and utilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong order book, delivering major infrastructure projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial management of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account.
- Prepare feasibility studies, tender reports and negotiate final accounts.
- Produce and submit interim valuations, WIP reports, cash flow forecasts and cost reconciliations.
- Manage variations, compensation events and contractual claims.
- Prepare contract orders, project valuations and final accounts.
- Produce client quotations, budgets and commercial reports.
- Monitor project costs, profitability and commercial performance.
- Provide commercial guidance to project teams and senior management.
- Mentor and support members of the commercial team.
About You:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor position within a main contracting environment.
- Experience delivering projects within renewables, heavy civils, utilities or major infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of NEC and other standard forms of construction contract.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a commercial team.
- Full UK driving licence.
