The predicted salary is between 26500 - 31000 £ per year.

Salary: £12.79 or £15.70 p/h depending on experience

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (may include evenings, weekends & bank holidays)

Contract: Temp ongoing

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday. Following an assessed induction period, shifts will vary between:

  • 7:00am – 2:30pm
  • 9:30am – 5:00pm
  • 1:00pm – 8:30pm

About the Role: Total Care Recruitment are recruiting for Youth Housing Case Workers to join our client team, Northern Ireland’s leading youth homelessness charity. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people aged 16–21 who are leaving care or experiencing homelessness — helping them develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to move forward in life.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete safeguarding reports, support plans, and maintain up-to-date case files.
  • Engage young people in support sessions and provide practical guidance in daily living skills.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings (social services, probation, addiction services, PSNI, etc.).
  • Record daily handovers and maintain accurate documentation in line with GDPR.
  • Support young people in budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and managing their tenancies.
  • Promote education, employment, and personal development opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and professionals to safeguard and empower young people.

Essential Criteria:

  • 1 year’s experience working with young people OR a degree in Social Work, Youth & Community Work, or similar, plus 6 months’ experience working with young people.
  • Experience of risk assessment and safety planning.
  • Experience in support planning and assessing needs.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car, insured for business use.
  • Access NI check required before appointment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in supported housing or residential care environments.
