We are seeking Adult Support Workers to join our Supported Living Team, providing direct care and support to adults with learning disabilities in their own homes using a person-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care (toileting, feeding, bathing, etc.)
- Administer medication and manage behaviours of concern
- Support service users in developing social, health, and leisure activities
- Promote effective communication with families and advocates
- Complete care plans, risk assessments, and reviews
- Participate in training, team meetings, and supervision
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care or equivalent plus 2 years relevant experience in the field of Learning Disability OR HNC/D in relevant subject plus 1 years relevant experience in the field of Learning Disability OR 4 years relevant experience in the field of Learning Disability and QCF/NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent and a commitment to complete QCF level 3 in a relevant subject within a year of appointment to the post.
- Registered with NISCC (or willing to register)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (unless exempt)
- Willing to train in MAPA (Managing Aggression and Potential Aggression)
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities
- Knowledge of adult safeguarding and RQIA standards
- Shadow shifts provided
- Support with NISCC registration
- Full training, including medication competencies
- Annual leave
- Weekly pay
