Total Care Recruitment are hiring Band 4 Residential Support Workers to join a dedicated team providing care and support to children and young people with intellectual disabilities and complex behavioural needs.

About the Role

You will play a vital part in providing both residential short breaks and intensive support services, working in unit-based settings and supporting community integration through youth groups, family homes, and other activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day care and supervision of children/young people
  • Supporting therapeutic and multidisciplinary interventions
  • Building relationships and promoting social inclusion
  • Accompanying young people to outings, activities, and appointments
  • Engaging in household routines and promoting personal care

What You Need:

  • Minimum age 21 (Standard 17:9 Children’s Homes Minimum Standards)
  • A relevant Health & Social Care qualification (Level 2 or above) AND experience working with children/young people with intellectual disabilities
  • Registered or eligible for registration with NISCC
  • Flexible availability
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
