Total Care Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Band 4 Adult Support Worker to join our dedicated team in a Mental Health Unit in Enniskillen. In this rewarding role, you will provide support to vulnerable adults, helping them to enhance their quality of life and maximize their potential. As part of a committed team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care, empowering individuals to develop their skills and live as independently as possible. Key Accountabilities: Support individuals to develop or improve independent living skills, as outlined in person-centred plans, which may include assistance with domestic/social skills and personal care. Work closely with Team Leaders and Managers to implement individual and group support programmes. Collaborate with colleagues to promote a safe working and living environment. This may involve resolving challenging situations and managing conflict (relevant training will be provided). Ensure the safe administration and storage of medication in line with Praxis Cares Medication Policy (training provided where necessary). Maintain accurate records and logs in line with scheme reporting guidelines, with a particular focus on incident reporting. Adhere to and promote Health & Safety policies and procedures, attending and participating in all relevant training. Requirements: Essential: Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills. Essential: Registration with the NISCC (Northern Ireland Social Care Council). Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (e.g., BTEC Level 5 HND in Health and Social Care). Willingness to work flexible hours, including early, late, evening, weekend, night shifts, and sleepovers, in line with the needs of the service. Adherence to the company values, behaviours, and policies at all times. Ability to perform additional duties as required, ensuring high standards of care and support. Desirable: Previous experience in a mental health support worker role. Additional training or qualifications in mental health, challenging behaviour, or related fields.
