About the Service

Our client's service is a 24/7 low-threshold hostel supporting adults with long-term street-homelessness and alcohol-misuse histories. The team delivers intensive, person-centred support through a harm-reduction model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case-manage a resident caseload: assessments, support plans, reviews and accurate electronic records.

  • Provide daily practical support (food, laundry, bedding).

  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safeguarding, Health & Safety and quality-assurance compliance.

  • Liaise with statutory and voluntary services to secure positive outcomes.

  • Contribute to handovers, team meetings, supervision and volunteer mentoring.

Essential Criteria

  • Education: 3?GCSEs (AC) inc. English & Maths (or equivalent).

  • Experience: 1?yr paid or 2?yrs voluntary work with vulnerable adults with complex needs.

  • Skills:

    • Risk-assessment/management competence.

    • Strong written, verbal and IT skills (case-notes/reporting).

    • Ability to network with NI support agencies.

  • Other: Able to work a 7-day shift rota; Enhanced Access?NI check & NISCC registration (within probation).

Desirable

  • Understanding of alcohol-related harm and relevant NI services.

  • Experience in residential or homelessness settings.
