Eligibility Requirements

  • Aged 22 or over (legal requirement).
  • Hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Able to commit to 173 hours per month, including sleep-in shifts.
  • Have no recent or relevant criminal convictions (enhanced DBS check required).
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

About the Role

We are seeking a caring and resilient Residential Support Worker to join our team, supporting children and young people aged 8–17 in a safe, nurturing children’s home environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience or transferable skills from youth work, education, social care, or residential childcare.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships and provide emotional and practical support to young people.
  • Help manage daily routines, including school runs, appointments, and activities.
  • Support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow care plans.
  • Work a rotational shift pattern including sleep-ins (additional allowance provided).

Candidate Requirements

  • Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

  • Reliable, empathetic, and committed to safeguarding.

Desirable

Experience in residential childcare, youth support, education, or social care is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
