Youth Support Worker

Salary: £32,350–£34,350 per year (inclusive of sleep-in and complex care allowances).

Contract: Full-time, permanent.

Overview

Support children and young people (ages 8-17) in a residential care setting. Work as part of a small, caring team providing daily guidance and support. Assist with daily routines, including school runs, appointments, and recreational activities. Support young people with life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care. Complete necessary administrative tasks and maintain accurate records. Work a shift-based schedule, including overnight sleep-ins (additional pay provided).

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be 22 years or older (legal requirement).
  • Passion for working with children and young people, with or without prior experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK manual driving licence required.
  • Willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
