We’re looking for a Field Coordinator to play a key role in delivering telecoms network build projects across the North West. This is a hands-on, operational role at the heart of live build activity — coordinating field teams, supporting contractors, and keeping projects moving safely, efficiently, and to plan.

If you come from a telecoms, civils, fibre, cabling, or splicing background and enjoy coordinating people, processes, and projects in a fast-paced field environment, this could be a great next step. You’ll act as the central link between field operatives, subcontractors, and internal teams, supporting projects from mobilisation through to completion.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Field & Project Coordination
    • Coordinate daily workloads for field operatives and subcontractors
    • Manage live build activity across assigned geographic areas
    • Ensure works progress through all stages of the build lifecycle
    • Issue clear instructions covering access, scope, risks, and site rules
    • Join a paid on-call rota once fully trained
  • Documentation & Quality
    • Maintain accurate job packs, compliance records, and build documentation
    • Ensure all records are complete, up to date, and audit-ready
    • Support quality audits and manage remedial actions where required
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure full compliance with H&S and environmental procedures
    • Identify, escape, and resolve safety or security risks
    • Champion a strong safety-first culture across all field activities
  • Operational Support
    • Provide day-to-day support to field teams to maintain productivity
    • Manage vehicles, tools, plant, and machinery in line with procedures
    • Support planning, scheduling, and admin across the build function
  • Communication & Improvement
    • Maintain strong communication with field teams, contractors, and managers
    • Share risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
    • Help identify inefficiencies and support continuous improvement

What Success Looks Like

  • Field teams are coordinated with minimal disruption
  • Projects delivered on time and to agreed quality standards
  • Strong audit results (green or amber)
  • Accurate, complete build documentation
  • Clear communication and effective issue resolution
  • Positive impact on team culture and operational performance

What We’re Looking For

  • Essential
    • Experience in telecoms, civils, fibre, cabling, or network build
    • Experience coordinating people, projects, or operations
    • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
    • Confident communicator with field teams and contractors
    • Solid understanding of health & safety in field environments
    • Self-motivated, proactive problem solver
    • Flexible approach to working hours
    • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Desirable
    • Experience supporting or supervising field teams
    • Knowledge of fibre installs, splicing, civils works, cabinet builds, or commissioning
    • NRSWA (Full)
    • Class C licence or above
    • HIAB – Hook & Signaller
    • 360 Excavator (10 T & below)
    • Experience on on-call or fault-response rotas
