The Manager of Medical People Services is responsible for the provision of operational leadership in relation to people services provided to the Medical Workforce. This includes day-to-day running and leadership of a Medical Staffing Function ensuring the provision of high-quality, customer focused, operational services.
The Manager of Medical People Services will act as a senior point of contact on all medical staffing issues, adherence to trust policies, employment legislation, terms and conditions of service and best practice.
- Resourcing – Recruitment Onboarding
- Ensure that trust processes for recruiting and onboarding doctors are effective (timely and safe) and deliver a positive experience for doctors joining SaTH.
- Ensure Medical recruitment and onboarding governance is of a high, auditable standard (DBS checks, Qualifications, Right to Work ID and health clearance is undertaken).
- Work with Lead Providers of Doctors in Training to ensure the Team are fully aware of who is scheduled to join the trust in advance of them joining to enable high levels of pre-start engagement.
- Lead on arrangements for Advisory Appointment Committees for Consultant Posts liaising with Royal Colleges and Universities as appropriate.
- Work with services to identify key areas of vacancies.
