We are currently looking for a Speech and Language Therapist Band: 6
- The Liverpool Community Learning Disability Team supports adults with learning disabilities across Liverpool who experience significant barriers to accessing mainstream adult health services.
- Within the team, Speech and Language Therapists provide specialist assessment and intervention for individuals referred for dysphagia management, as well as specialist communication assessments and interventions.
- This locum Specialist Speech and Language Therapist post is primarily focused on supporting the dysphagia pathway.
- Responsible for undertaking dysphagia assessments and reviews, managing a primarily dysphagia caseload, and completing full episodes of care.
- This includes developing and documenting management plans, providing appropriate recommendations, and ensuring their implementation and ongoing review in line with clinical standards and governance requirements.
- Must have completed relevant postgraduate dysphagia training and possess sufficient clinical experience to independently manage a dysphagia caseload.
- Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities is desirable.
