This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and experienced social worker to work across
Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC) cases, with a primary focus on
Care Proceedings .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Children in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases.
- Undertake assessments, care planning, and direct work with children and families.
- Lead and contribute to care proceedings, including preparing court reports and attending hearings.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure effective safeguarding and support for children and families.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current
Social Work England registration.
- Significant frontline experience within Children's Services.
- Proven experience managing cases within
Care Proceedings .
- Strong assessment, analytical, and case management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel within and outside the local authority area.
